Details of National Theatre and the Ticket Luck value
National Theatre
National Theatre is housed on 1321 Pennsylvania Avenue across the Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC located three blocks away from the White House.
It is the oldest playhouse in the United States founded on December 7, 1835, by William Corcoran and other prominent citizens of the town showcasing the production "Man of the World".
The seating capacity of the theater is for 1,676 occupants. It is operated by a private and non-profit organization.
The theatre has faced the tensions regarding the racist approach towards performers. In 1936 the Porgy and Bess cast protested the audience's segregation of African American performers. But that was not much of a success.

The theater underwent a major renovation in the years of 1982 and 1983 with the original wing housing dressing rooms replaced as a modern structure.
The stage was designed for concerts under the supervision of Oliver Smith. From this stage, President Ronald Reagan saluted the refurbished "neighborhood theatre" in January of 1984. The last major renovation of the venue was completed in 1984.
