Alberta Bair Theater is undoubtedly Billings' and the Northern Rockies' very own world class performing arts center. Beginning as the Fox Theater in 1931, as an effort of the 20th Century Fox Corporation; the Alberta Bair came to Billings. The beautiful interiors of this venue shared lines, cuts, dimension and depth, similar to other Fox theaters. Robert C. Reamer's command on executing a theme from inside out wrapped everything beautifully. The main theater, its stage and dressing rooms along with the marvelous chandeliers, Fox's signature art deco and other furnishing makes it a grand presence. As Fox Theatre this venue became an integral part of the life in Billings. For five decades Billings Symphony and Chorale became a vital  part of the Theater. It performed regularly benefiting the Fox Committee for the Performing Arts from the proceedings of each show.
 
Carsich Theaters acquired the Fox theatre in 1978 and planned its rejuvenated look and feel as per the trends of the time. The Fox Committee stepped to ensure its preservation. Once successful they let Charles M. Bair acquire the role of a revivalist in 1987. Alberta Bair Theater bore the name of Charles' daughter who alike other Billings natives supported the cause of saving the face of sites of entertainment. Alberta Bair Theater was made to ensure that Billings and people of the vicinity have a chance to see and experience everything that happens at a world class theater. Alberta Bair Theater's dominance as the sole and exclusive Intermountain West entertainment facility remained untouched to date.
 
Promoting new talent, reviving dying art forms, performing arts and allowing staging of live concerts of artists spanning genres classical to pop country, blues and rock, Alberta Bair Theater has done it all. Furthermore showcase of comedy, drama and music in other formats provided local and international artists to deliver their respective experience at the Alberta Bair Theater.
