Humans have always had a very competitive streak in them. They have grappled with each other since the beginning of time and that is what has manifested itself into wrestling. The sport is watched by millions of fans around the globe with their events being broadcasted to hundreds of countries in every part of the planet. A lot of that is down the competitiveness of the matches on offer which has made wrestling one of the most watched sports in the world. So if you are a fan then book your wrestling tickets and catch your favorite stars in action live.
The history of the sport traces its roots back to the earliest part of human civilization. The excitement and action on offer has since turned it into wrestling as we see it today. Different countries have their own competitions which have helped the sport enjoy the tremendous popularity it does today.
The wrestling seen today first began to take shape in the beginning of 1870's when J.G.Chambers first introduced "Catch Wrestling." The style was then taken up by wrestlers in other parts of the globe. The competitors began to devise new holds catch and beat their opponents. That added intrigue to the proceedings and the popularity of the sport began to soar as a result.
Wrestling events like the championships held by the NCAA and Olympics have played a huge part in making it immensely popular in the U.S. as well. These competitions are now an integral part of the sporting culture of the country and provide and ideal platform for the wrestlers to make their mark and show the world they have got what it takes to be successful in the sport.
Professional wrestling however is a different specimen. It is wrestling at its entertaining best. This form of sport began in the later part of the 1800's and didn't take long for it to make its mark and capture the attention of the masses. WWE then came to the fore in the 1980's and changed the face of professional wrestling forever by adding storylines to the proceedings.
The 1990's is the most popular era of professional wrestling because that is when the WWE faced severe competition from the rival WCW. Both behemoths went head to head for years to generate more ratings. WWE did eventually managed to get the upper hand but it were the fans who were the biggest winners for they were treated to one epic match after another by the biggest names in the business. TNA has now entered the picture and has made its presence felt as well to make the business more fascinating.
Wrestling has been hugely popular in every shape and form. Amateur wrestling to professional wrestling every style has its fans who watch these events to make it what it is today. This year will not be any different in terms of excitement on offer so grab your wrestling tickets and enjoy the festivities live.
