True North Sports & Entertainment Limited is a private-sector group that came together with government support to create The MTS Centre.

At a cost of $133.5 million CAD, the state-of-the-art facility of MTS Center opened in November 2004. This bright, entertainment, sports and performing-arts facility occupied a site in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg.

With a capacity of seating 15,015 spectators for ice hockey and up to 16,333 spectators for concerts, the Mts Center is affectionately referred to as "The Phonebooth" by residents.

The distinctive design of the entertainment centre brings new light, life and animation to Winnipeg streets. The first principles of the design feature awe-inspiring sight lines from every seat, superb acoustics for concerts and acts and the best ambience and amenities for sports of all kinds.

In addition to known for its excellent amenities for concerts, the MTS Centre offers world"s best facilities for holding sports events too.
