It is an all-age venue that is host to many prominent local and national rock bands. The Grog Shop is a bar come venue, which provides its patrons with a great atmosphere, good selection of beers, and affordable price tickets. The Grog Shop is a concert club and bar, located in Coventry Village in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. It originally opened as a very small capacity rock venue, but in the summer of the year 2003, it relocated itself to its current basement location on Euclid Heights Boulevard which is larger and better-designed than the former location at the corner of Coventry and Mayfield, as it now has a maximum capacity of about 400 persons.

The place is basically one small room with a small stage in the corner. It features dimly lit red interior combined with exposed brick walls and a room-length bar. The ventilation system at the venue can keep the normally-sweltering concert space cool throughout the entire evening.

The Grog Shop books the mainstream bands. The music style at the venue is diverse as it features Acoustic, Blues, Classic Rock, Emo, Folk, Goth, Indie, Metal, Rap, Rock, and Ska. In the year 2005, the Grog Shop celebrated its 10th anniversary, which means that now in the year 2009 the music venue is going to be celebrating its 14th anniversary.

The best part about Grog Shop is that it is situated right at the end of a very popular strip of bars, restaurants and shops on Coventry Road, giving you plenty of options if you want to either pre-party or after-party, which of course makes any concert more enjoyable.

However, it might not look like much from the outside; it is a true heaven inside for true music lovers! It is a solid place to see a show. Other than offering its patrons with live music and a bar scene, the venue also features Pinball and Video Games.
