Comprising of city officials and local arts groups, the committee took the task of preserving State Theatre and brining back its legacy and original glory.

Soon, Kalamazoo welcomed back its historic theatre and the new generation witnessed the same charm and magic the State Theatre used to spread in the 1920"s. The awesome Spanish Colonial styled architect was back, so as the exciting presentations it was once famous for.

Today, State Theatre Kalamazoo shines as the most appreciated fixture in the heart of the city. This cultural center now play host to several big music stars. With a seating capacity of 1569, the venue can host different types of live shows.

According to the venue administration, it attracts 50,000 visitors every year while the city administration at Kalamazoo also finds State Theatre a booming tourist place.
