Thalia Mara is the name of an auditorium in Jackson that was initially known as Jackson’s Municipal Auditorium. This hall was renamed in the memory of renowned ballet educator called Thalia Mara. She was the founder of USA International Ballet Competition in the town of Jackson as well as Thalia Mara Arts International Foundation. Mara was also the author of 11 books related to ballet dancing. Thalia Mara Hall is currently managed by the Department of Cultural and Human Services in Jackson.
