The BJCC Arena has a capacity to seat nearly seventeen thousand people for sporting events and nineteen thousand people for concerts. The arena has hosted four Southeastern Conference men's basketball tournaments and five Sun Belt Conference men's basketball tournaments to date. Between 1976 and 1979, the BJCC Arena also acted as a home field for the Birmingham Bulls of the WHA. On top of this, the arena has hosted several notable shows such as American Idol Live!, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney on Ice, WWE Raw, PBR Built Ford Tough Series and several others.
