Ervin J. Nutter Centre is a recreation complex building on the Wright State University just on the exterior of Dayton, Ohio. It is also known as the Nutter Centre in common lingo and is Ohio"s prime entertainment and sports complex.

The E J Nutter Centre has been rated as one of the very best and the most facilitated entertainment complexes of the United States. Being opened in 1990, the Nutter Centre is also known for it capacity and spaciousness.

Construction completed in December 1990, The E J Nutter Centre is home to Wright State University Raiders basketball and hokey team since 1990. It is also the home ground of the Dayton Bombers of ECHL. KZF Design were the architectures and structural engineers of the Nutter Centre.

Its construction cost was $34.5 million which was appropriate enough for such state-of-the-art facility. With a maximum seating capacity of 12,000, the E J Nutter Center is continually ranked nationally for its capacity and facilitations.

The E J Nutter centre has a large spacious main arena which is an obvious sign of the event complex"s excellence. Apart from the main arena, the complex building holds four basketball courts, a full fledge recreational running track, a well-equipped fitness club, a number of class rooms and dressing rooms and a 60,000 sq. ft exhibit area.

Over 20 national touring concerts or musical events are held at the E J Nutter Centre each year. The entertainment complex also arranges sports and events at academic levels like high school football game.

Memorable Events at the Nutter Center
The EJ Nutter Centre has been holding a number of great memorable events on its vast grounds. In 2006, WWE vs. ECW wrestling championship was held at the Nutter Centre.

It also hosted WWE"s the King of the Ring wrestling event in 1993. In the year 2007, the event complex held another great wrestling event WWE "Raw". The E J Nutter Centre has hosed many political processions and gatherings too.

In February 2008, the E J Nutter Centre hosted "Keeping America"s promise" rally which was personally lead by current US President Barack Obama.

Another memorable political event hosted at the Nutter Centre was "Road to the Convention Rally" in August 2009. This event gained a lot of public interest because the governor of Alaska, Sara Palin, was announced as the Republican Party"s presidential candidate"s running-mate.
