Blossom Music Center located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is an amphitheatre renowned for its picturesque setting. The amphitheatre is a location for the Blossom Festival owned by Cleveland Orchestra. The Music Center was built in 1966-68 with a total expenditure of 8 million dollars. The name of the musical center is designated as an ode to the tremendous efforts and support of the Dudley S. Blossom family towards the Cleveland Orchestra. The name of the Blossom Musical Center is thus after the Blossoms and notably after the Dudley S. Blossom who also served as the president of Cleveland Orchestra from 1936 till 1938. The first ever musical concert held in the Blossom Musical Center was on July 1968 and was conducted by George Szell. George Szell was the Music Director of the Cleveland Orchestra and the program was based solely on Beethoven music.

The Blossom Music Center is a tremendous amphitheatre designed in parabolic shape with breathtaking scenery. The theatre occupies 800 acres of natural woods inside the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The park is situated 10 miles north of the downtown Akron and is 33 miles far of the downtown Cleveland towards south. The Kulas plaza is an exclusive seating arena with premium superior facilities. The Smith plaza however is the entrance gates with improved access to the Blossom Music Center.

The Blossom Musical Festival is one of the major musical events of the center. The festival started off as a six day musical program and is now a ten week musical extravaganza.
