En Vogue released an EP followed by their third album, EV3 which ranked eighth on the Billboard 200 and R&B charts. Its song "Whatever" ranked first on the charts and was certified gold. Like all of its previous albums, it was certified platinum. Two more albums were released and several years after, the new millennium was spent with members working on solo projects and leaving the band.
