Anselmo Valencia Tori Amphitheater (also known as AVA Amphitheater) is southern Arizona’s biggest open air concert venue having nearly 5000 seats. It consists of 2800 festival-style lawn seats, 1,600 theater seats and six corporate boxes. AVA Amphitheater at Casino Del Sol has been host to Freddy Fender, Alan Jackson, Los Lobos and many other artists.  Casino Del Sol is now featuring a dance party in celebration of 2014, new years eve- a tribute to 80’s gentlemen, Elton John & Billy Joel. This party is creating a lot of excitement and the venue is the center of attention.

AVA Amphitheater was a result of Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s vision. It is a tribe of Yaqui Native Americans in southern Arizona that expanded in the late nineteenth century and by 1978, they were federally recognized.  It was them who envisioned creating a very unique destination for entertainment in the state. The idea was to provide a place where performances of top entertainers could be enjoyed by everyone. And in order to do that, people were asked to pay a fraction of the cost for venue construction. In 2001, the dream was transformed into reality and AVA came into being at Casino Del Sol.

Casino Del Sol means Casino of the son. It is the ultimate destination for gaming and entertainment. It offers live blackjack, bingo, poker and nearly thousand slot machines. It provides its guests with an option to choose from three bars and six restaurants. AVA Amphitheater is a part of Casino Del Sol that opened in 2001. It was the first amphitheater of its kind in Tuscan therefore it was a significant development.

It was a world class addition to the above mentioned entertainment options at Casino Del Sol.  AVA Amphitheater was successfully unveiled by Pascua Yaqui Tribe. The open air venue was inaugurated with a country music performance by superstar Alan Jackson. With it the par of entertainment in Tuscon was raised to a great extent.  It was named after the former chairman of the Pascua Yaqui Association, Anselmo Valencia Tori, a World War II veteran.

Taking the world of entertainment by storm, Anselmo Valencia Tori Amphitheater has been established as the ‘hot spot’ in southern Arizona. It has sold out shows like Brooks & Dunn, Don Henley, Luis Miguel, Van Halen, James Taylor and Toby Keith. It also seen amazing performances by The Scorpions, Luis Miguel, Daddy Yankee, Gwen Stefani and Alejandro Fernandez. Intimate setting has been arranged keeping in view the interest of concert goers. In southern Arizona, AVA Amphitheater is regarded as the premier entertainment destination because of it large stage setup. It creates a beautiful illusion for the guests making them feel as if they can touch the sky if they reach out.
