Don Haskins Center is located at Glory Street El Paso, Texas opened in the year 1976. It is home of the UTEP Athletics Men and Women basketball teams. It is used as a basketball facility with the floor made of hardwood surface constructed as 127 X 84 feet octagon.

In 1998 it was named after the legendry UTEP Hall of Fame basketball coach though the former name of Don Haskins Center was "The Special Event Center". It is owned and operated by University of Texas at El Paso.

It has the seating capacity of 12,222 which is sub divided as 11,767 permanent seats, 36 wheelchair spaces and 800 portable seats in the round. There is also a seating arrangement of 7000-9000 seats at the end stage.

The seating arrangement is so that the fans are seated extremely close to the playing floor thus giving an intimate view of the action on the court. The Haskins Center features a Robbins Bio-Channel Star maple floor, installed in the summer of 2002.

There are two modern locker rooms and training facilities for the players. The center also has the offices of basketball coaches.

Four new scoreboards and two video replay boards to the arena were added in the arena bringing more action to the games. The arena features a total of seven electronic scoreboards now.

The arena has been home to different acts appearing at the center with time to time that includes performers like Santana, Metallica, Rod Stewart, Luis Miguel, Juan Gabriel, Coolio, Aerosmith, the Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, Vincente Fernandez, and Crosby, Stills and Nash, as well as the Harlem Globetrotters, the Royal Lipizzaner Stallions, World Championship Wrestling and preseason NBA games.

The arena is also utilized for UTEP commencements, EPCC graduations and area high school graduation ceremonies. The arena was also the site of the 1984, 1985, and 1990 Western Athletic Conference men's basketball tournaments

It has the staging capacity of 50 SICO 6' x 8' x 4' sections, 90 SICO 4' x 8' Tuff Deck and 20 Wenger 4' x 8' x 32". It has the spotlights containing 4 Strong Supertrouper Carbon Arc and 4 Lycian SuperStar 2.5 Xenon. There is a parking facility for the fans in this venue and the arena is a no-smoking zone.

For the past era of gaming since it was built and renamed UTEP has attracted 4,686,630 fans in 30 seasons an average of 9,208 per game in Don Haskin Center.

The twelve thousand seating facility of Haskin Center has been sold out 106 times for UTEP basketball games. The arena being the gaming facility is also a regular host of big-name concerts and other national touring events.
