Located and owned by Corpus Christi, Texas, American Bank Center opened its doors for public in 1967. A multipurpose arena, it hosts all kinds of events throughout the year and has welcomed people of diverse backgrounds. Catering to the needs of different people, the Center underwent renovation in 2002 and later in 2004, increasing its accommodation and facilities. Today American Bank Center comprises of an indoor arena, an auditorium that can seat up to 2,500 people and a convention center that comprises of two ballrooms, five exhibition halls and around 21 meeting rooms.

Built on 150,000 square feet area, American Bank Center has an ideal location and is easily approachable. With its exterior lined with huge glass walls, the venue offers the perfect view of the city's skyline and the bay. Equipped with the latest amenities, the Center is constructed to have split-tiers that allow the spectators uninterrupted view no matter where they are sitting. Although the arena can accommodate as many as 8000 people, especially for sports events but if the need arises extra 2000 seats can be added as well. Concerts and live events held at the Center often witness massive crowd and that's when the venue is usually filled to its capacity.

The venue will be staging the all-time favorite Christmas show, The Nutcracker. A story of a young girl and her toy nutcracker, the ballet always sees a huge attendance and is thoroughly enjoyed each time. For sports fans, ice hockey matches will also taking place at the Center as the home team IceRays will be taking on its rivals. Bill Cosby due to his eclectic performing style and the vast topics that he covers, has a fan following in all age groups. Pop musician Jim Brickman will also be visiting American Bank Center as part of his The Love Tour.
