During the renovation and extension project, the theatre administration decided to create two separate auditoriums with small screens in the area previously used for the purpose of orchestra seating. As a result of these restoration efforts, the theater received new plumbing and electrical systems, along with new bars for the mezzanine and orchestra area. In 2026, the Wellmont Theatre was bought by its new owners, who later closed the venue for a period of two years.
