Primarily opened as Ferndale, the facility changed its name to the Studio North in 1961. This 425-seat theater would feature movie until it was shutdown by the city of Ferndale and Oakland County in 1989.

After an extensive renovation in 1991, the Studio North reopened as the Magic Bag. Renovation reduced the theater"s seating to 300. The Magic Bag now maintains an intimate yet comfortable atmosphere, perfect for hosting concerts as well as Brew n View-style-movie screenings.

In addition to featuring concerts, the facility also offers services for annual sales meeting, office party, birthday, wedding, barmitzvah, bachelor or bachelorette party!
