Opening its doors back in 1993, Marquee Theatre in Tempe is currently celebrating its 10^th anniversary. Over its decade long history, this small sized concert venue has played host to a number of who's who of the American music industry. The venue is located at the intersection of Washington Street and Mill Avenue, which happens to be the hub of live entertainment within Tempe.

The Marquee Theatre is owned and operated by the live concerts promoting company called Lucky Man Concerts. It was formed back in 2001, and presently it is responsible for staging more than 150 live concerts all over New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. This year, Lucky Man Concerts celebrates Marquee Theatre's 10^th anniversary with a lineup of exciting events. During its previous decade long affiliation with the Marquee theatre, Lucky Man Concerts has made it possible for the concert goers to see high profile bands and acts perform in Tempe. Previously, the Marquee Theatre AZ tickets have been sold for the concerts of acts like Flogging Molly, Sigur Ros, Phoenix, Godsmack, Odd Future, Nine Inch Nails, Eric Church, Social Distortion and many more.

Initially, when the Marquee Theatre opened its doors for the audience, it only showcased country music acts and it went by the name of Red River Opry. The ownership of the venue transferred to Lucky Man Concerts, after its formation in 2001, in early 2000s. With the new ownership, the name of the venue was changed and the seats were also removed from the floor. Currently the venue offers the festival seating, and the approximately eight feet is the farthest that any attendee can get from the stage at the concert.

The venue is open to all ages, and with proper ID, alcoholic beverages are also served. It attracts a large number of students from the Arizona State University which is approximately one mile away from the venue. Each year, loads of touring acts invite a large number of student body looking to catch their favorite act perform live.
