The Wembley Stadium, commonly called The Empire Stadium, was first built in 1923. It is situated in Wembley, in the north west of London. This place was demolished in 2003 but in 2007 it was rebuilt and converted to New Wembley Football Stadium. The old stadium was famous for hosting variety of events. FA Cup Final, some notable European cups, Summer Olympics of 1948, World Cup final of 1966, Queen's Magic Tour and the live aid concert of 1985. The well-known Wembley Stadium is designed by Foster, Partners and HOK Sport with a retractable roof as its distinct feature. A cross trait of the stadium, similar to the old Wembley's idiosyncratic Twin Towers, is 134 meters high Wembley semicircle arch. With a width of 317 meters, this brace arch is the highest single-span roof construction in the entire world and requires beacons for low-flying planes. The stadium was constructed by Australian bend, Multipex, at a cost of £798 million. The previous Wembley closed in October 2000, with demolition initially planned for that December and the new stadium due to unlock in 2003. Because of the setbacks to the project, with demolition process first starting in September 2002, the old Wembley was not totally taken down until February 2003. The new stadium was planned to open in time for the FA Final Cup of 2006. Due to some legal arguments between WNSL and Multiplex, the play was delayed for about a year. The two eventually suffered an important loss on the scheme. The sport ground was finally opened on 9^th March 2007, in time to host the FA Final Cup on 19^th May 2007.

In worldwide football, this stadium is a constituent of the FIFA World Cup bids of England in 2018 and 2022. The football final of the London Olympic of 2012 was also hosted at the stadium. In football clubs, including FA, the stadium has hosted the FA Community Shield match which was played in August among the victors of the FA Cup and the Premier League. Outside of football, the stadium is also renowned for some major rugby league games and bends, like Challenge Cup. The stadium is also known for being the venue of the American International series of National Football League. Among other events which are held here, concert for Diana, Summertime Ball and Live Earth are the most famous ones hosted by the stadium.
