The M & T Bank Stadium is a football stadium which is a multi-purpose venue. The stadium is located in Baltimore in Maryland. The Bank Stadium is the home play ground for the Baltimore Raven of the National Football League. Originally the Bank Stadium of Baltimore was featuring a natural grass surface, but with a passage of time and artificial surface, Sportex Momentum Turf, was then installed into the stadium for the 2003 playoff season. The stadium is catered by the Hamburg Street station of the Baltimore Light Rail.

Some of the former names of the M & T Bank Stadium have been the Ravens Stadium at Camden Yards from 1998 to 1999, then the PSI Net Stadium from 1999 to 2002, Ravens Stadium from 2002 to 2003 and ultimately the M & T Bank Stadium from 2003 to date. The ceremonial ground breaking ceremony of the stadium was held in 1996. After two years of rigorous construction the stadium was inaugurated on 6th of September in 1998. The owner of the stadium is the Maryland Stadium Authority. All operations for the stadium come under the Baltimore Ravens. The surface of the stadium was natural grass from 1998 till 2000, it was then changed to Sportexe Momentum Turf in 2003 until 2009 and now the surface of the field has Field Turf installed as of 2010. The total cost of constructing this extremely fabulous stadium has been $220 million. The chief principal architect for the construction was the Populous Structural engineer Bliss and Nyitray, Inc. The total seating capacity of the stadium is 71,008. The stadium has enjoyed many famous tenants such as the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League from 1998 to date, the Crab Bowl Classic in 2005 and 2010, the Baltimore Bayhawks (MLL) in 2002, the Day of Rivals in 2009 and finally the Face-Off Classic in 2007.

The M & T Bank Stadium has not only been a venue for sporting events but also some great concerts have been hosted by the stadium in the past and the authorities plan on producing more of such musical concerts soon. The extremely famous musical festival by the name of HFStival came to the venue in 1999 and 2005. The highly extravagant musical festival showcased some really big names in the music industry such as the Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Goo Goo Dolls, Blink-182, Coldplay and Billy Idol.
