Ford Center is a famous indoor sports and concert arena, being located in the downtown Oklahoma City. Ford Center is located very near the Cox Convention Center, which serves as a marketing point for a larger segment of society. The citizens of Oklahoma City had passed a $121.6 million initiative on March 7, 2008, for the renovation and expansion of the arena.

The planning had included to upgrade restaurants, clubs, additional suites, view lounges, office space, Kid's Zone, upgraded 'general use' locker rooms. The naming rights for the 'new' facility are also under discussion per terms of the lease agreement between the Professional Basketball Club LLC and the City of Oklahoma City; however preference is being given to the Oklahoma Ford Association, who is the current sponsor.

Ford Center also serves as a host to Oklahoma City Blazers, which is the Central Hockey League and the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of af2 on a part-time basis. The Ford Center has hosted many WWE events such as RAW, SmackDown!, and Unforgiven 2005.

There was an enormous level of fans, being seen in the arena on June 30, 2008 with 11,560 fans on hand. Ford Center had also hosted the 2007 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time in the year of 2007.

The venue has hosted the NCAA Men's Basketball First and Second Round on several occasions and is the permanent host of the All-College Basketball Classic.
