Details of Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and the Ticket Luck value

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
Verizon Wireless is a joint venture between Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group, and is the second largest wireless telecommunication service provider in America with the count of its subscribers being more than 70.8 Million.

UKs Vodafone Group owns 45%, while Verizon Communications owns 55% of this joint venture. Verizon wireless originated from the formation of Bell Atlantic Corp, which was created after the merger of Bell Atlantic Mobile and NYNEX Mobile Communications in 1995.

While on the other hand, Californias AirTouch Communications announced its merger with UKs Vodafone Group Plc in 1999, and the resultant company was called Vodafone AirTouch Plc. Later that year in September, the recently formed Vodafone AirTouch, announced its joint venture with Bell Atlantic Corp, of $ 90 Billion. This joint venture was then named Verizon Wireless.

The newly formed Verizon Wireless began its operations on April 4, 2000, after they received their approval in 6 months. Later that year, what made Verizon Wireless, the largest wireless telecommunication provider in America, was the merger of GTE Wireless with Bell Atlantic Corp.

To form up Verizon Communications. Verizon Wireless remained the #1 wireless communication service providers until Cingulars merger with AT&T Wireless in 2004.

Apart from voice services, Verizon Wireless also offers 3G data services. However the company is trying to, and has announced a joint effort along with the Vodafone Group to transit their network to 4G standard LTE, trials of which were carried out in 2008.

Every year, Verizon Wireless spends a total sum of $8 Billion for the overhaul and expansion of the network, nationwide. Verizon Wireless also announced on November 27, 2007, that users having any sort of phone with CDMA compatibility would be able to benefit from the network.

In 2001, Verizon Wireless also launched its phone recycling and re use program, called HopeLine. Programs main aim is to collect mobile phones and its accessories in any condition and refurbish the ones that could be refurbished and resold, while disposing off the rest by the way of ReCellular Inc.

The proceeds generated from the HopeLine are then awarded to Non profit organizations and local shelters which are working to help prevent domestic violence and spread its awareness.

As of today, Verizon Wireless, through this program, has awarded around $5 Million to these Non Profit Organizations and has collected over 4.5 Million mobile phones.

Initially Verizon wireless started off its advertisement campaign as being the largest cellular service provider, when it was in fact and used the slogan Join In. Later that slogan was changed to We Never Stop Working for you.

Verizon Wireless also bought the naming rights of several Amphitheatres and music centers nationwide. These amphitheatres are located in Irvine, Charlotte, Selma, Alpharetta, Virginia Beach, Maryland Heights, Noblesville, Pelham, and Houston.
