Sommet Center, which is situated in Nashville, Tennessee, was formerly called the Nashville Arena till 1999, when the naming rights were acquired by Gaylord Entertainment Center. In 2007, the name was changed to Sommet Center, when Sommet Group which is a Tennessee based group of companies, bought the naming rights. The venue was opened for public in 1996 and took up a construction cost of 144 million US dollars. Major renovations were made to make the arena more high quality and it also took up several million dollars as the renovation cost.

The building is a state of the art venue which was designed by Populous, a leading architecture company. Sommet Center has a total capacity to seat more than 17,000 people for the game of ice hockey, more than 19,000 people for basketball, more than 5,000 people for theatre and 10,000 or 20,000 people for concert which varies with the type of the concert. Sommet Center is owned by Sports Authority of Nashville and Davidson County and is operated by Powers Management Company. The venue can be reached form a number of ways as convenient to the visitor that includes routes from East Tennessee, West Tennessee and some other routes and can be reached conveniently by any public Transport or the shuttle which also runs through Sommet center. There is a sufficient space for parking around the Sommet Center at low charges. For the security purposes, cameras or recording devices are not allowed in the arena. There wont be any need to bring your own food because some really famous and top class restaurants are present in the vicinity like Hard rock café and Wildhorse Saloon etc, all at walking distance from the Center.
