Vacaville is a Californian city situated in Solano County, between the cities of Sacramento, which is the capitol city of California State and the notorious city of San Francisco. The state of California is the most populous state. It is the most geographically diverse state in the US, and contains the highest and lowest points in the entire continent of America. Unemployment rate of Vancouver (8%) is lower than that of the state (11.2%). Almost half the year, the city basks in sunshine. Temperatures are at their highest in the months of June-September. December and January are the wettest months. The local transportation facilities are excellent for all including the disabled citizens so touring the town is no problem. Interestingly enough, the city has the highest concentration of electric cars in the entire world and thus the city is humorously called the ?Voltageville'.

The city was founded by William McDaniel in 1852. It was the Pony Express (fast mail service) stop. Due to the fertile land of the Vaca Valley, the city was home to some big production companies and local farms. An interesting incident occurred in 2003 when a crop circle, which is the patterns created on the field by flattening the crops and is commonly believed to be the work of aliens, was discovered by pilot in the outer fields of the city. The crop circle discovered was of fairly simple pattern and failed to generate much attention. If not for the so-not-famous crop circle, the city is famous for its retail shopping and its annual Vacaville Fiesta Days. One of the other annual events included the Onion Festival, the harvesting of which has been canceled since 2000 because of the closing down of onion processing plant. There are two libraries the city; the Vacaville Public Library and the Vacaville Public Library. Among the many parks of the city, Nut Tree Family Park is the most exciting one. Brenden Theatre Corporation hosts various events throughout the year.

The Performing Arts Theater of the city of Vacaville organizes and arranges a multitude of events like plays, musicals, concerts and educational projects the whole year in this super cool 500 plus seats facility. Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe Regional Park features the ancient Pena Adobe home, bike trails, horseshoe pit, barbecue and excellent hiking tracks. The fishing in Lagoon Valley is also a pleasant experience. Vacaville Museum and Vacaville Heritage Council have much to offer. Stars Recreation Center Bowling Centre is an interesting tourist spot. Lone Elk Park and World Bird Sanctuary are famous picnic and recreation spots.
