Railways finally reached the city in 1837 connecting and linking the prosperous town to other potential opportunities. Nationwide and railway links have been established within the city domain. Wolverhampton High Level station was originally opened in 1852 and was rebuilt later to cater to the needs and requirements of the community.

The city is extremely proud of their gigantic football ground called the "Molineux Stadium" as well as their indoor venue "Wolverhampton Civic Hall".
