Upper Darby Township that was once a part of Darby Township was founded on August 30, 1736 as a result of its split from the Darby Township and was settled by a religious group of Friends of Quakers.

Later on July 23, July 24 and July 25, the Performing Arts Center will be hosting Alice in the Wonderland, Jr. with two shows on July 24. Pinocchio, A Real Boy is another musical for children that would be staged on July 30 and Jul 31 (2 Shows).
That series of events dont just end with the end of July, on August 1 the arts center would be hosting Pinocchio, A Real Boy and My Favorite Year on the same day and My Favorite Year on August 2 as well. Following these events is School house Rock Live, Jr. which is considered to be one fun educational ride for the kids.
The show would be staged on August 6, August 7 (2 Shows) and August 8. Also on August 8 My Favorite Year would be staged yet again, with another show on August 9.
