Education
The University of Salford was established in 1896. Each year thousands of students enroll in this university. This university was ranked 81st by The Times. The university is undergoing ?150M of redevelopment through investment in new facilities. The University of Salford is rich in history.

The famous Peel Building, where famous artist LS Lowry used to study is the Department of Environment & Life Sciences. This university is widely regarded as one of the UK's most enterprising universities. The Salford city is ranked ninth out of the ten districts of Greater Manchester by GCSE results.

Salford Quays
Under the regeneration projects taking place throughout the city, Salford Quays has been built on the docklands. Salford Quays has grown into a lively hub of the citys arts, leisure and sports scene. Transport
You can reach Salford through the Manchester Airport. Rail services are available which take you to Manchester Piccadilly or Victoria train stations then services on from there. A regular tram service is provided to the Quays. During summers, ferries run between the Quays down the Mersey to Liverpool.
