My daughter unexpectedly came to New York to visit us on Sunday. We already had plans to see the Wicked at 2:00 PM and I was sure that I wouldn't be able to get a ticket for her that quickly. We called Ticket Luck and what do you know? They arranged for tickets on a one day notice. Unbelievable service!"

Details of Chester and the Ticket Luck value

Chester
Chester gives you truly a great place to visit, live and work. Discover Chester"s advantage and learn more about its rich history yourself. It is astonishingly hip, fun, civilized and beautiful region and is well-known for providing top-class destinations for ecotourism. Locals are welcoming with straight-thinking. Outsiders will be delighted to find its first-rate museums, alternative culture and an ever-spreading chain of pubs and food spots.

Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, Chester is the county town of Cheshire, England. It was granted city status in 1541 and presently a home of 80,200 inhabitants, making it the largest and most populous settlement of the wider local government district. The city was founded as a Roman fort named "Deva Victrix" in the year 79 by the Roman Legio II Adiutrix.

The City"s four main roads, Eastgate, Northgate, Watergate and Bridge, follow routes laid out almost 2000 years ago. After the Romans left in the 5th century, the Saxons fortified the region against the Danes and gave Chester its name. It was one of the last towns in England to fall to the Normans in the Norman conquest of England.

The City of Chester has the reputation of being the "English medieval city par excellence". With most sections of the wall listed Grade I, it has the most complete city walls in Britain. Railways, canals and new roads marked industrial revolution in Chester, which saw substantial expansion and development in the following years. The City has a great influence of Victorian architecture and Chester Town Hall and the Grosvenor Museum are evident of it.

Culture
Chester is the perfect place for revitalizing breaks at any time. It sparkles with a magical heritage throughout the year. Also enjoy the majestic scale of its celebrations, be a part of one of its many annual festivals and events. The summer season is packed with such exciting festivals as the historic Midsummer Watch Parade and the Summer Music Festival. Do not miss experience the more mysterious side to the city centre in the dark. The eerie haunts of Chester"s past on Ghosthunter Trail can be a great place especially for adventure lovers to take a night-time journey around.

Chester plays host to several repertory theaters, electrifying concerts and flamboyant festivals. The City has a brass band known as the City of Chester Band. Earlier it was known as the Blue Coat Band and formed in 1853. It is a thriving 3rd section brass band. All members of the band wear a blue-jacketed uniform with an image of the Eastgate clock on the breast pocket.

In 2007, Chester"s cultural sector would undergo through a major transformation. The Odeon Cinema and the Gateway Theatre had closed as part of the Development. The city also has some nightclubs, which are soon going to be added to the development. Also to the east side, are the UK"s largest zoological gardens named Chester Zoo.

Scroll along Cheshire Military Museum which is an interesting, innovative and attractive museum in Chester Castle. It is always developing new ideas to interpret the stories of the men of the Regiments of Cheshire such as the Cheshire Regiment, the Cheshire Yeomanry and the 3rd Carabiniers. With special activities, events and exhibitions throughout the year, the museum offers something for everyone.

Shopping
Chester"s wonderful shopping environment is enjoyed by both out-of-towners and the lucky locals. Chester is recently ranked best city in England to visit. Also in a survey of English Towns and cities, it was declared the tenth most profitable city. Chester offers an impressive international commercial centre, comprising such high street favorites as Marks & Spencer and Next. These are specialist shops in Godstall Lane, Rufus Court, and St Michael"s Arcade, and department stores, such as the renowned Browns of Chester.

Chester is also close to other major out of town retailing complexes such as Cheshire Oaks, designer outlet village, based in Ellesmere Port. The Broughton Shopping Park, in Flintshire North Wales, features a variety of shops and restaurants. The city has unique character in its two-tiered gallery of shops called "The Rows". The Rows are traditional black and white buildings which have been restored and re-developed to provide easy access to Chester"s main shopping streets. Come and feel the majestic scale of Chester making it truly a marvelous Spectacle! We built Ticket Luck to provide Chester and other tickets with a unique plan.
