The Museum campus is also home to the last remaining oyster packing plant in the area - the McNasbys Oyster Packing Company plant.
Since the McNasby building was badly damaged by Hurricane Isabel in 2003, the Museums Board of Directors, staff and dedicated volunteers threw themselves heart and soul into raising funds to revamp the building and to develop the Bay Experience Center.
