Details of Amberg and the Ticket Luck value

Amberg
Amberg is a name of one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Bavaria in Germany. The town, with a population of over 44,456, is located in the Upper Palatinate, nearly halfway between Regensburg and Bayreuth.

The earlier documentation of the town goes back to the year of 1034, with a little difference in name like Ammenberg. The town had served as an important trading centre during the Middle Ages, with a special focus on the export of iron ore and iron products.

The town had gone under the rule of Wittelsbach dynasty of Bavaria, along with Bamberg. Later, in the year of 1329 the town and the entire Upper Palatinate went to a branch line of the Wittelsbach family, and was not considered to be a part of Bavaria. Although it was into the Bavarian region was part of the Bavarian circle in the organization of the Imperial Circles.

There were many religious shifts, being seen in the region, due to the interests on the rulers at different intervals of time. There was a boom of Protestantism, which had later turned into Lutheranism, into the 16th century.

The later attempts of the ruling family to introduce the more radical Calvinism had turned into a failure, due to the personal preferences of the local people. There had been a diverse change in the year of 1628, when Amberg and Upper Palatinate had become part of the electorate of Bavaria.

The people had been offered a choice of returning to Catholicism or to leave the town forever. Many families had left the town and went to the Free Imperial Cities of Regensburg and Nuremberg.

Amberg had remained the regional capital of Upper Palatinate until 1810, till the power center was shifted to the larger city of Regensburg. The result of Second World War had thrown the fate of Bavaria into the American Sector; Amberg had become a U. S. Army base. The base had been active till the year of 1992, when it was turned over to the local community for housing.

One of the highlights of the Amberg city is a bridge, called "Stadtbrille", whose arches resemble like a pair of glasses, when reflected in the water underneath. There are other historical landmarks like "Market Square", which has got the Gothic town hall and the late-Gothic Parish Church of St. Martin.

The residence place of the former counts of the Rhennish Palatinate, called "The New Palace", built in the 15th century, has proved to be a wonderful place to peep into the corridors of history.

The residents of the Amberg city have been able to preserve many sections of the medieval walls and gates, which is also a great tourist attraction. Apart from the places mentioned above, one can find the baroque Franciscan monastery on the Hill of Our Lady Help of Christians.

This hill was named after the end of the plague, due to the help of the Virgin Mary, according to the folklore. There is the 'Little Wedding House', which the town authorities claim, to be the world's smallest hotel, being built in the year of 1728.

It is a 2 meter wide hotel, which was 'sold' to young couples for one night to prevent the young couples form the laws, prohibiting marriages between poor people.

We built Ticket Luck to provide Amberg and other tickets with a unique plan. Instead of the usual 20% mark up, we decided to go for a 1-2% mark up. At that margin, we don't spend anything on advertizing. If you are lucky enough to find this site, you would have saved a tidy sum for yourself. We hope that we will be successful through word of mouth instead of a massive banner ad. marketing budget.

Our tiny markup pays for the support, the cost of running the website and the toll free number that we provide. We hope to be modestly successful, without being greedy and want you to benefit from our effort. In turn, we hope that you will pass on the good word and provide us with referrals.

These Amberg Tickets have been bought by fans, who could not make it to the show. The brokers that we deal with collect the Amberg tickets, and we show you the consolidated version. We do appreciate feedback and whether you want to tell us about Amberg Tickets or about our service and idea we sincerely appreciate it. We hope that you will drop us a line, if you like our service. We would love a testimonial too, and would love it on our site. If we can improve we would love to know about that as well.

The Amberg Tickets are sent via Fed-EX. The prices are often above face value, but that is how the brokers consolidating the tickets from the Ambergfans get compensated. We do want to mention, that our tickets are likely to go fast, since the prices are unbelievably low. If you are thinking of getting them, you may want to grab them while they are available.
