Allentown city is located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, in US. It is the third most populous city of Pennsylvania with the estimated population of 106,632-according to US 2000 census.
Allentown is positioned on the Lehigh River and is adjacent to Bethlehem and Easton cities forming a region called "Lehigh Valley". The city receives humid continental climate with hot muggy summers, cold winters and mild springs and autumn.
Snowfall is notably variable with the average of 823 mm annually. The city offers ample local attractions for the residents as well as outsiders. Expansive green Parks, diverse restaurants, well equipped libraries, thrilling pubs and bars, High tech colleges and the list goes on.

ALLENTOWN ART MUSEUM
A walk on the North side of 5th street will take you to the Allentown Art Museum. The museum was incorporated in 1939 and till then its collection was displayed in the "Stone House".
The museum has many paintings of local interest along with national and international works and a library from a Frank Lloyd Wright house on display. Besides displaying items, it also offers an active program of periodic exhibitions.
ALLENTOWN SYMPHONY HALL
The Allentown Symphony Hall was built in the 1890s. Some of the prominent stage figures of the 19th and 20th century have staged their performances in Allentown Symphony hall. Presently, it is known for the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. It also offers the venue to various theatrical groups.
LIBERTY BELL
Liberty Bell has made the city of Allentown more significant as it was the location where Liberty Bell was successfully hidden during the American Revolutionary War. When you visit Liberty Bell, don"t forget to know about its history and significance!
PARKS AND RECREATION
Harry Clay Trexler will always be remembered for the efforts he made for the city"s parks maintenance and development. Trexler also facilitated the development of Trout Nurser, Allentown Municipal Golf Course, Cedar Parkway and Trexler Park.

FESTIVALS
Mayfair Festival of the Arts sets at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown each May presenting a diverse wide variety of arts and crafts. The Great Allentown Fair is held annually on the grounds of Allentown fairground and the J. Birney Crum Stadium hosts the Collegiate Marching Band Festival.
STADIUMS
Allentown has two spacious outdoor stadiums- Coca cola Park and J. Birney Crum Stadium. Coca-Cola park can accommodate a crowd of 7000 people and is home to the Lehigh Valley Baseball. J.Birney crum Stadium, on the other hand, has a seating capacity of 15,000 and hosts Lehigh valley conference Football. The city has no indoor stadiums and thus major indoor sporting events are held at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem.
