Ryan Adams is an alternative rock and country music singer and songwriter belonging to Jacksonville, North Carolina. Adams started playing electronic guitar at the age of fourteen, when his mother and grandfather gifted him one. Only a few years later, he joined his very first band named Blank Label. He dropped out of high school during the first week and moved in with a band member. During his stay there, he performed with two local bands named The Lazy Stars and Ass. He briefly performed in a bar as well. To catch his upcoming performance live on stage, you must book your Ryan Adams tickets now!
Ryan Adams founded the band Whiskeytown and their first album "Faithless Street" was released later that year. The band received critical acclaim from the first album, and the second one, named "Strangers Almanac" was released the next year. 1999 saw the release of their third album named "Pneumonia" after which the band split up and Adams decided to go solo. With the start of new century, Adams stepped into his solo career with the released of the album "Heartbreak". Although the sales were quite slow, the album managed to receive critical success.
Ryan Adams released his second studio album named "Gold" in 2001. His first video was made on his song "New York New York" in which he performed in front of the New York City. The video was shot only a few days before the 9/11 attacks, hence his song was played repeatedly on MTV, from where he received mainstream breakthrough for the very first time. Adams released a mixtape without the help of new label in 2002 which, although was more of a critical success, yet failed to sell as much his second studio album, Gold. During 2003 and 2004, Adams released two albums, 'Love is Hell part 1' and 'Love is Hell part 2', both of the albums were well received by the public.
Ryan Adams went on a tour to support his latest albums in January of 2004, however he couldn't complete it when he fell off the stage during one of the performances and broke his wrist. In 2005 onwards, with the collaboration of the "backing band' The Cardinals, Adams released "Jacksonville City Lights" and "Cold Roses". He also released a solo album "29". Apart from releasing three albums in one year, he joined Hurricane Katrina benefit tours along with a number of other artists at the Irving Plaza. In 2006, he embarked on a solo tour of the United Kingdoms, which was a great success. In January of 2009, after a long road together, Adams announced that he was splitting up with The Cardinals after one last show together.
In 2009, over his fan page website, Ryan Adams shared the news of the possibility of the reunion of Whiskeytown. He also shared the news of releasing many of his unreleased tracks. Adams that same year, release a song online named "Happy Birthday". In the start of 2010, Adams announced that he is going to release a metal influenced album named "Orion" with new label PAX AM. In the summer of the same year, the album was received, and was well received by his fans. In the fall of 2010, he performed in a live concert after a long time. In the December he released his unfinished album from 2006, The Cardinals III/IV.
Ryan Adams went on a European Tour and with Glyn Johns, started working on a new album too. In September of 2011, the album named "Ashes & Fire" was released.
