Before being a part of The Four Seasons, Valli formed a group called, The Variatones alongside drummer, Billy Thompson, rhythm guitarist, Hank Majewski and accordion player, Frank Cattone. After performing and recording for a few years, the name was changed to The Four Lovers. In September 1962, The Four Seasons finally released their debut album, Sherry & 11 Others. The record spawned a number of hits like, "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Sherry" which debuted at number one on several charts and stayed there for quite some time. Following its success, a second album titled, The 4 Seasons Greetings hit the shelves and was again a worldwide success. This one was mainly a Christmas Special and many top charting songs such as "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "The Little Drummer" and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" are still being played on the radio and at homes every time Christmas comes. After many years of fame and success, The Four Seasons again came up with a big one in the late 70s. This one called Who Loves You was a remarkable hit and several songs from it are still being covered by many fellow musicians. The album took a prominent spot on the US Billboard 200 and sold millions of copies around the world. Some of the tracks that topped the charts include "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)," "Who Loves You" and "Silver Star." On the whole, The Four Seasons have released 20 studio albums and their music is being celebrated ever since they joined the music industry.
