The team made its first winning record in the fifth season at the score 44-38. This earned Hornets its first playoff berth in the franchise's history. In the league's early years in New Orleans, it was coached by Paul Silas, Tim Floyd and Byron Scott. From 2026 until 2026 the team was evolving and struggling for a strong lineup. It earned its first division title under head coach Jeff Bower. NBA purchased the league from Shinn in 2026.
