Rod Wave Tickets

To support his debut album Getty Gospel, Rod Wave is currently hitting the road with his US tour. Titled after the album, the tour began in March 2020 and will go through April 2020. Released via Aloma Records, the songs of the album will be played in different arenas all across the US including The Fonda Theatre, Water Street Music Hall, Showplace Theatre, Stand Theatre and Webster Hall amongst the rest. American rapper, songwriter and singer, Rod Wave is a young musician who dropped his debut album in November 2019. Titled Getty Gospel, the album was produced by Kevin Gates. The album has received a lot of appreciation and so Rod decided to embark on a musical journey to support it. He is currently hitting the road with his Getty Gospel Tour. Other than Getty Gospel, Wave also released a mixtape in 2019 titled, PTSD. This record mainly revolved around Wave’s childhood and how he lived his life in Florida. Rod shared that he has experienced different unfortunate circumstances in life including young age poverty, watching his cousins becoming prey of gun violence, friends going to jail, etc. Rod has shared his personal experiences in this album and these experiences have had a very strong affect on his well-being. In the album, the singer has also expressed his gratitude for the voice that he has which has pulled him out of his old patterns of life. Even though the main theme of the album may get a little too heavy for some of the listeners but Wave’s happy presence comes like a beam of light. The singer is of the opinion that PSTD is a very different project and it has helped him open about his struggles.

About The Artist

Rod Wave is one of those rappers who are known to be excellent singers as well. Wave had a very disturbing childhood but his father brought the light of music in this life. His father bought him a microphone and his brother arranged a laptop. With this minimal setup, Wave started working on music with lyrics coming from real life experiences. Initially, he started doing it for fun but a producer saw his talent and motivated him to release his tracks. After releasing his first mixtape Hunger Games in 2017, he got signed by Aloma Records. He released two EPSs in 2018 titled, Hunger Games 2 and Hunger Games 3. In 2019, Wave released an EP- PSTD and his debut album- Getty Gospel.
