Theory of a Deadman Tickets

Formed in 2001, Theory of a Deadman is a rock band from Canada. The band comprises of Tyler Connolly on lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, Dean Back on bass and backing vocals, Dave Brenner on lead guitar, rhythm guitar and backing vocals with Joey Dandeneau on drums and backing vocals. The band was the first ever act to sign up 604 Records owned by Nickelback's frontman Chad Kroeger. The way they got signed is a truly singular story.

According to Theory of a Deadman's frontman, he sneaked a demo of the band's first single to Chad during an after-show party in 2001. Chad heard the track later and signed the band up straight away. Then the two sat together and started working on music together. Till 2002, they had written and recorded the band's first album titled "Theory of a Deadman". This album was of the grunge and metal-core genre. Due to a good critical response and a number of popular singles like The Last Song and Make up your Mind, the band followed up the album with a national tour. Here they performed with the likes of Blackstone Cherry, Breaking Benjamin, Daughtry, Motley Crue, Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Alterbridge and Airborne.

After the success of their first album, TOD was back in 2005 with their second album titled "Gasoline". This album also spawned a number of successful singles in addition to reaching the top ten on the Canadian music charts and top 60 on the US music charts. Four songs from the album were used for award-winning video game 'Farhenheit'. This started a trend where a lot of the band's music was used by companies to promote their brands. This includes WWE, NBA and TNA who have used many of the band's songs for their events. A number of popular TV shows and movies have also used their songs.

Theory of a Deadman's third and most successful album, "Scars and Souvenirs" was released in 2008. It was their first album to spawn a single that reached number one on the rock charts. It was also universally loved by the critics, receiving a high rating from most notable music critics. The singles So Happy, By the Way and Bad Girlfriend enjoyed immense success on the charts.

By their fourth album titled "The Truth Is", the band had hit a winning formula. In addition to spawning another number one single, the 2011 album topped US rock and regular music charts and hit the top ten in many countries. This album saw the band take a bit of a sabbatical from their normal style of music and it was their new influences that led to the massive success of the album.

The latest and fifth album from Theory of a Deadman is titled "Savages" and was released in July 2014. It features a guest appearance by rock legend Alice Cooper and is accompanied by a massive US tour. While the album has spawned a number of hit singles, it is the accompanying tour that has really got TOD fans excited. The band has gotten together with a number of popular rock acts and is now touring the country, performing new music from their album as well as a few well known classics.

Theory of a Deadman has truly grown over the years. While their earlier material was brash and loud, their newer compositions are more controlled. Their music now incorporates elements from acoustic rock, electronic music, blues and jazz. All of this is mixed with their classic hard rock and the result is a sound that a few bands have been able to achieve in their lifetimes.
