Based in California, The Devil Makes Three is a talented band that plays a great mix of country, folk, ragtime, acoustic and bluegrass music. The three band members, Pete Bernhard, Lucia Turino and Cooper McBean have breathed life into acoustic music while keeping folk punk alive at the same time. Bernhard and McBean have been playing with the rock and punk bands but their true interest lies in the old blues and acoustic music. The band has a great sound that crosses genres and appeals to a wide range of audience including those who are not bluegrass fans. The self-titled album was originally released in 2002; however, it was re-released in 2007 after the band signed with Milan Records. This album has entirely reshaped the music preferences of some people because the music is spectacular and the lyrics are appealing. It is made up of both old and new numbers including This Life and They Call That Religion which have been received with critical acclaim from music lovers.
