Straight No Chaser Tickets

The fabulous a cappella group Straight No Chaser is about to embark on an epic tour for their fans to be a part of. SNC have been a part of the music fraternity for well just under a decade and during that time they have come out with one majestic performance after another to rank among the best of their time. Straight No Chaser was the brainchild of Don Ponce. It was the year 1996 when he teamed up with Kevin Carroll, Randy Stine, Jerome Collins, Mike Itkoff, Dave Roberts, Steve Morgan, Patrick Hachey, Walter Chase and Charlie Mechling to form the basis of what has now become a famous band.

The ten young performers set foot on the stage for the first time to perform a dance routine that was a staggering thirty six hours in duration. From there onwards they went on to perform at famous places like the Wrigley Field, Navy Pier and Comiskey Park. Their reputation began to turn heads and that landed them an opening slot for legendary Lou Rawls concerts. SNC then made their way to the iconic Carnegie Hall for a breathtaking performance.

The ten original members of the band stayed together to perform for three years until they graduated in the year 1999. New students took their places and Straight No Chaser remained a collegiate level band. That remained the case till the middle of the 2000's as the original members decided to make a sensational comeback.

There arose a problem however. Now they were two bands playing. One with the ten founding members and the other consisted of students from Indiana University. Names of both groups was the same, Straight No Chaser. They decided to keep it that way and got on with creating their own music.

In the fourth month of 2006, SNC hit the limelight in a big way and that too for a track they had recorded way back in 1998. The song was titled "The 12 Days of Christmas" and it was uploaded to the famous video sharing website YouTube. The recording turned out to be a massive hit that was viewed by millions of music fans from around the globe. It also caught the attention of Atlantic Record's Chief Executive Officer Craig Kallman who was so impressed by what he saw that he didn't waste any time contacting Randy Stine as he has posted the video. Kallman wanted the actual line-up to come together and record a brand new album.

The deal was done and in the summer of the year 2008, the originals barring Kevin Carroll and Patrick Hachey joined hands for a sensational reunion. They needed another two members who turned out to be Ryan Ahlwardt and Mike Luginbill. Both of them had been a part of the collegiate SNC between 2000 and 2003.

With the line-up complete Straight No Chaser came out with "Holiday Spirits," their first major album. It turned out to be a huge hit that went on to the pinnacle of iTunes charts. That was followed up by another holiday season inspired album "Christmas Cheers" which turned out to be their second straight hit.

Straight No Chaser then changed tracks with their next album that was titled "With a Twist." It was the group's first pop rock creation. SNC were taking a risk by diverting away from their tried and tested holiday music formula but they knew what they were doing and so it proved. The album was the biggest hit of the three albums and more than justified the band's change in direction.

Their latest release "Under the Influence" hit the music stores in May, 2013 and it didn't take too long to make its mark either. What began as an experimental collegiate level group has now gone on to become a huge sensation. They have more than made their mark on the music industry and for that they deserve all the credit they get.
