Third Eye Blind Tickets

The San Francisco-based band, Third Eye Blind, became a major commercial hit at the start of their career in the nineties, during which time they were arguably the biggest musical act. Their initial studio offerings Blue and Third Eye Blind, recorded two and six times platinum sales in the US respectively. Many of their tracks that made it big include Semi-Charmed Life, How Is It Going To Be and Jumper, all of which peaked among the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100.  They have sold an estimated twelve million records and continue to tour rigorously across the US. Third Eye Blind tickets are a particular favorite among alternative rock fans who love to reminisce about the nineties' rock glory.

Third Eye Blind came to prominence in 1997 with their song Semi-Charmed Life which was released on their debut album and became a huge hit in the nineties. At the time of formation, their lineup consisted of drummer Brad Hargreaves, bassist Arion Salazar, guitarist Cadogan and lead vocalist Stephen Jenkins. The act has been notorious for constant lineup changes and at one point was reduced to a two-member band with Hargreaves and Jenkins as core members. The artists still did not stop at anything and continued to release their albums, Out of the Vein and Ursa Major in 2003 and 2009 respectively. The band now comprises of Jenkins as lead vocalist/multi-instrumentalist; Hargreaves as percussionist/pianist; Kryz Reid as lead guitarist; Alex Kopp as keyboardist/pianist; and Alex Le Cavalier as bass guitarist. To date, they have released four albums and are currently working on their fifth album which they have announced will be their final record.

Third Eye Blind made their first demo with Producer/Engineer Mark Hensley in 1993. The next year, they followed up with another demo featuring Jenkins, Cadogan, Salazar and Curve. They remained busy through late 1995 till early 1996, recording their third demo funded by RCA records under producer Eric Valentine. This resulted in bringing them attention from a major label as well as of Clive Davis who requested for them to play a showcase in NYC for Artista Records. By 1996, they landed the opening slot for an Oasis concert at San Francisco Civic Auditorium through Epic Records' executive Dave Massey. In an uncommon scenario for a small opening act, they were requested back for an encore performance after completing their initial set. They were then paid twice as much by the concert promoter while Jenkins' edition of a Queen's cover of Bohemian Rhapsody brought them attention from yet another major label. 3EB then became the subject of constant bidding wars among record labels. Soon after this, Jenkins and Cadogan signed a recording contract with Elektra Records' Sylvia Rhone under the title, 'Third Eye Blind'. By 1997, the band released their debut album featuring the five singles Semi-Charmed Life, How Is It Going To Be, Jumper, Losing a Whole Year and Graduate. They have since been recognized as some of the biggest alternative rock bands, famous for their energetic vibe at the live performances.

They are now hitting the road for their short yet widely anticipated House of Blues Twentieth Anniversary Tour which includes shows in twelve cities. Their motto for this tour gives a fair idea of where they are headed with respect to their upcoming shows and album; 'born in shadow, made of lions and loud as f***'. According to Stephan, the phrase 'made of lions' refers to Brad's style of drumming while it also reflects upon the intensity and vigor of their live performances. The band has announced that this time around their shows will be more thrill-chasing than ever before, in the absence of backing tracks, pitch correcting devices, landing gear or sequencers. Their intention is really to 'live or die' every moment they play, delivering the real time beat to their fans which in turn is what live playing is all about. The nineties rock icons will be re-entering the studio in spring 2014 to begin the production of their much anticipated final album.
