Date & Time

Known for their own flavor of Punk Rock music, The Gaslight Anthem brings all of their charting hits and covers this season to their fans as they head out on a nationwide concert tour. Hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey, The Gaslight Anthem made their studio debut back in 2007 with the release of their debut album titled Sink or Swim. Ever since its inception in 2006, the band's lineup has remained stable for all these years. The group's lineup comprises of Alex Rosamilia, Brian Fallon, Benny Horowitz and Alex Levine.

After scoring a record deal with XOXO Records, the group recorded and released its debut studio album titled Sink or Swim back on May 29, 2007. The debut album was released to generally positive reviews by most of the independent and mainstream music critics. One of the independent music review website used the following words for Brian Fallon's work on the album: "(He has) the talent for creating lyrics and melodies that are simple and catchy, yet never forced or unintelligent." Other music reviewers like Punknews.org also highly praised the group's debut release, and called it to be a perfect effort for launching their mainstream career. The album feature several hit singles like Boomboxes and Dictionaries, I'da Called You Woody, Joe and We Came to Dance. Their song I'da Called you Woody, Joe was also featured as the soundtrack for the video games, Skate It and Skate 2. The Gaslight Anthem received the kind of reception a band would need to successfully launch themselves in the mainstream music scene. Their success as recording artists was quickly followed by a series of live concerts. The band has been performing live from time to time every year, and as soon as the group steps out to perform live, the Gaslight Anthem tickets grow high in demand among the fans of the band. During their live performances, the group also covers the hit classics from other renowned musicians as well. Among some of their favorite cover songs are Tom Petty's Refugee and American Girl, and Johnny Cash's God's Gonna Cut You Down.

In 2008, the group came up with its follow up studio release titled The '59 Sound. As compared to their previous release, this one was released on Side One Dummy Records. The Gaslight Anthem's second studio release also featured guest musicians like Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Chris Wollard of the Hot Water Music. Produced by Ted Hutt, their second album also received positive response from most of the critics and peaked at #1 spot on the list of best albums for the year 2008 by eMusic. Also in the year 2008, the group appeared on the cover of Britain's Kerrang! Magazine and made history by being the first band ever to do be able to do so. Kerrang! termed them "the best new band you'll hear in 2008".

In the year 2009, the Gaslight Anthem collaborated with Bruce Springsteen during one of their live performances at the Glastonbury Festival on June 27. The group was accompanied by Bruce Springsteen on stage for their song The '59 Sound. Later that evening, the frontman of the band, Brian Fallon, also performed alongside Springsteen during his performance of the song No Surrender. The following day, the band and Springsteen, repeated that collaboration at Hard Rock Calling Festival in London. After grasping much attention on with their second studio release, the group went in to studios to record their third album with the producer Ted Hutt once again. Their second studio album on SideOneDummy Records was called American Slang and was released in June 2010. After taking inspirations from the greats like The Stones, Eric Clapton and The Dominoes, Fallon said that the songwriting in their most recent work would be a lot different that their previous works. The album was once again released to great critical reception and soon after its release, the group embarked on a concert tour.

Till yet, the Gaslight Anthem has played at a number of music festivals including Southside Festival, Bonnaroo Festival, The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts, and Rock Werchter. While keeping their live performances going, Gaslight Anthem is coming up with more concerts in the near future. Get your cheapest tickets for Gaslight Anthem in order to watch them live!
