Basking on the success of their first album, The Razorlight started touring different countries. They proudly held several successful concerts including a performance in Live 8 series of concerts in 2005.They also performed with Queen and Paul Rodgers in front of 60,000 people.
The Razorlight set the stage on fire with their electrifying performance,despite being a new band.However, the superlative performance was yet to come as they played live in a two night stand at the cavernous Alexandra Palace. Razorlight also got the chance to perform with Oasis and The Rolling Stones and went out for their biggest tour till date in October-November 2006.
Razorlight was welcomed as a new rock sensation not only by the audience, but by industry as well. They won the award for Best New Band in 2005 by Q Magazine. Several music companies queued up to sign them but they opted for producer legendary Chris Thomas, who has handled the bigwigs of music like The Beatles, Pink Floyd and The Sex Pistols.
Razorlight has made it big in the awards circuit as well. They have been awarded with Q Award for Best New Act in 2004, ShockWaves NME Award for Best New Band In 2006 and TMF Award - Netherlands for Best Veelbelovende Act.
They have also got several nominations including two recent 2007 nominations for Best British Group and Best British Single for their blockbuster America at Brit Awards.
