Guster Tickets

Guster is an alternative rock band, originally formed in the Boston, Massachusetts area by members Ryan Miller (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Adam Gardner (guitar, vocals, bass, keyboards), and Brian Rosenworcel (drums/percussion). Joe Pisapia (bass, guitar, keyboards, banjo, vocals) has since joined.
The band was originally known as Gus. In order make their name more original and to avoid confusion of other artists under the same name, they changed their name by adding the ?ter.
The Boston trio were successful in developing a unique sound with two acoustic guitars and a bongo set. They wrote short, infectiously catchy tunes about love, suicide, and absurdist rock star lifestyles. Through word of mouth alone, the band sold over 40,000 copies of independent debut Parachute and their second effort, Goldfly.
In the late '90s, Guster became one of the most successful bands to hit the East Coast scene.
The band?s unique and simple sound has attracted fans all around. The band developed a strong, grassroots fan base through relentless touring and humorous stage banter with the crowd. Guster has a very intimate connection with their fans. Their strong presence on the Internet further increased their fan base. The band regularly updates studio and road journals on their website, guster.com, and regularly sign autographs after their shows. Guster also maintains a Rep (representative) program, through which they have been successful in selling albums and promotional materials for upcoming concerts through their fans.
Guster is so popular that it has become a constantly touring band. It is playing up to 250 shows a year.
