On 1994, this single was released on an album called Lost Soul by Sony Music Records. In 1969, Staples released a complete solo album that was self-titled on the known Stax Records. In 1970, she released Only for the Lonely. On the Curtom label belonging to Curtis Mayfield, Staples' soundtrack album known as A Piece of the Action came out. In 1984, another self-titled album was seen preceding two more albums which were recorded under the guidance of the rock star named Prince. In 1989, her album Time Waits for No One came out and was followed by The Voice that was seen in 1993. The esteemed People magazine gave The Voice a ranking amongst the Top Ten Albums of the Year in 1993. Spirituals & Gospels: A Tribute to Mahalia Jackson was recorded in 1996 along with Lucky Peterson a famous keyboard player. This album of Staples, honors Mahalia Jackson who happened to be a family friend of Staples and also one of those people who had a huge impact on her life.
Staples was seen making a massive national come back in the industry when her album Have a Little Faith came out on Alligator Records of Chicago. In 2004, Jim Tullio produced the album. This album of hers featured a lot of spiritual music genre that was coupled with semi-acoustic beats and was warmly received by her fans and critics alike.
