James Carter was born on the 3^rd of January in 1969 and he hails from the city of Detroit in Michigan. He had a passion for jazz music ever since a very young age and has spent most of life perfecting his already virtuoso musical skills. His interest and affection for the genre throughout the course of his musical career has allowed him to become a very dynamic jazz musician who is capable of playing a wide variety of different jazz instruments. He has spent quite some time as a Clarinetist and was known for his amazing skills with a bass clarinet.  He then shifted his focus towards being a Saxophonist and this is where his brilliance shone through for the world to see. At present, he has perfect the art of playing the bass saxophone, the baritone saxophone, the tenor saxophone, the alto saxophone, the soprano saxophone and if that is not enough, he can also blow you away with his skills at playing the sopranino saxophone. This is not, however, where his love for the genre ends as he also explored the idea of learning how to play a flute and went on to become a maestro at that too.
