Life in a Slow motion was the seventh album released by him and it instantly topped the UK albums chart. The Album featured songs like "Hospital Food" "The One I Love", & "Alibi". The album was majorly inspired by Mercury Rev, Sparklehorse, Bj0rk, Lucinda Williams and Sigur Ros. The incorporation of a cello player in music gave the album a distinct character.
