Anthony Hamilton is name of one of the famous American R&B, soul, and neo soul singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born in the month of January 28, 1971 in the town of Charlotte.

He had gained the fame with his platinum-selling second studio album titled Comin' from Where I'm from, in the year of 2003. Hamilton has also made a cameo in the film, titled American Gangster as a soul singer, to which he also contributes music to the film's soundtrack.

Hamilton had covered and performed at the 2008 BET Awards, Hamilton covered/performed Al Green's Tired of Being Alone during a tribute to Green's career. XTC is the debut album by American R&B/soul singer Anthony Hamilton, released in October 1996 (see 1996 in music) on MCA Records.

The second studio album Comin' from Where I'm from by Hamilton, had been released in July 2003 on So So Def Recordings/Zomba Records/Arista Records. It debuted and peaked at number thirty-three on the Billboard 200 in October 2003, it has also spent seventy-six weeks on the chart.

The run had been longer on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, where it debuted at number seven and staying for one hundred weeks. It went platinum by the RIAA in early December 2004.

The single Charlene, Hamilton's most successful single to date, peaked at number nineteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top five of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

The album had been a cause of earning three three Grammy Award nominations Hamilton in the year of 2004, including Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Contemporary R&B Album?and one in 2005?Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for Charlene.

The first compilation album, entitled Soulife was released in the June of 2005 on the heels of the success of Comin' from Where I'm Fromon Atlantic Records/Rhino Records; the album consists of previously unreleased songs.

It debuted and peaked at number twelve on the Billboard 200 and number four on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums the week of July 16, 2005, but soon dropped off the charts. Ain't Nobody Worryin' is the third studio album, but the overall fourth by the singer.

It debuted and peaked at number nineteen on the Billboard 200 and number four on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums the charting week of December 31, 2005, being certified gold by the RIAA in early April 2006.

The Southern Comfort is considered to be the second compilation album him in the April of on Merovingian Music. The album debuted and peaked at number ninety on the Billboard 200 the week of April 28, 2007, dropping off the top one hundred the following week and leaving the chart completely two weeks later.
