Details of The Used and the Ticket Luck value

Originating from Orem, Utah, The Used is an alternative rock band. In terms of the sound of their music, they band gets pigeonholed by various sub genres of rock. Founded in 2001, they have been around for 9 years now, making post hardcore rocking music. In 2001, they signed a deal with Reprise Records and shot to fame right after their first self titled album was released The Used. They have followed many commercially successful albums in the following years which have added to their international fame since the band has achieved Gold as well as Platinum status in many countries worldwide.

The band was founded officially in January 2001. The band members of the Used were already associated with several others bands since the 1990s. This was what really helped in providing a base for the Used. Braden Steineckert, Jeph Howard and Quinn Allman were the founding members of the band who needed a singer to complete their group. Even though they had already started working on their music as a group but they had no lyrics to go with their piece. And that is where Bert McCracekn comes in. When he was given the composition, he wrote lyrics to go with the piece and called this song Maybe Memories. They recorded the demo song the following day and then onwards, Bert was the vocalist for the band.

When the band learned that there was already a band by the name of Used, they decided to add 'The' before their name and became The Used. Their debut album was released in June 2002. This album was produced by John Feldmann and had many a upbeat tracks. The album included several singles like A Box Full of Sharp Objects, The Taste of Ink, Blue and Yellow and Buried Myself Alive. The last three singles helped the band make its first entry into the charts. The albums received mixed reviews and got a gold status. For the Warped Tour, Ozzfest and Projekt Revolution performances, band hired a fifth member in the form of Greg Bester, the guitarist. He had to return to his home country when he did not get a working Visa. These events of public exposure brought more fame their way and the band basked in more recognition when Bert dated Kelly Osbourne.

2004 was a sad year for the band because that is when Bert's girlfriend died of a drug overdose. Thus, there second album was an expression of Bert's grief over his loss. The album was called In Love and Death. Hard to Say was a song where Bert referred to his girlfriend. Even though he had written this song years before but he released it only when he thought the time was right. This album received fairly positive reviews. All That I've Got was a single from this album which got a MuchMusic Video Award nomination. During this period Brandon left the band and was replaced by Dan Whitesides.

Lies for the Liars was the third album which was released in May 2007. Even though Whitesides was working with the band during this period but the whole album was recorded with Dean Butterworth of Good Charlotte as a drummer. During this time, the band made their first performance in the Give it a Name festival as well as performed in their first ever MuchMuisc Video Awards ceremony. They received another nomination for their song The Bird and the Worm for Best International Group Video. Originally, this third album was to be a double album since it had 19 songs but this idea was dropped.

The band released its fourth album called Artwork in August 2009. It was their first album which was not produced by John Feldmann. Instead, this album was produced by Matt Squire and also the band's first studio album. As per Bert, the sound of this album is completely different than those of their previous albums. The band also performed at the Bamboozle Festival in 2009. They also took a tour to support Three Days Grace in Canada. With all their success, the band is a good reminder of why we love rock so much. Grab your The Used tickets now to experience if for yourself.
