The Arcade Fire
Arcade Fire is an indie rock band formed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The band members are Win Butler, R?gine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Jeremy Gara. Howard Bilerman, who played drums on their debut album, Funeral, has since moved on to other projects. The touring band included horn player Pietro Amato and violinist Owen Pallett on the 'Funeral' shows.
History:
Formation and early history:
The husband and wife duo of Win Butler and R?gine Chassagne led to the formation of Arcade Fire. The band was started in mid-2003. With the recording of their first full-length album Funeral in late 2003/early 2004, the current lineup has been solidified.
At their early shows, their eponymous EP had been sold quite successfully. It is often referred to by fans as the Us Kids Know EP. As the band started becoming more prominent, the EP was subsequently remastered and given a full release.
