Details of Iron And Wine and the Ticket Luck value
American songwriter and singer, Samuel Beam, more popularly known as Iron and Wine, is all set to dominate stages all across North America as he sets out on the road for his upcoming tour. Born in 1974, Beam hails from South Carolina. He completed his education in the field of arts, and worked as a professor thereafter. Before stepping into the mainstream industry, Beam honed his song writing and performing skills in front of close family and friends. He started recording demos with the help of long-time friend, Michael Bridwell. Impressed with the final results, Bridwell passed the demo along to his own elder brother, front man of the group, Band of Horses. Subsequently, the music made its way around until it finally landed the attention of Sub-Pop Records. Beam was offered a contract, and from there on, there has been no turning back for this indie star.
2002 saw Iron and Wine officially emerge onto the scene with the release of the debut album, “The Creek Drank the Cradle.” Beam was critically applauded, and many went as far as to compare his music to that of industry legends such as Simon and Garfunkel, Nick Drake, Neil Young, John Fahey and Elliot Smith. Iron and Wine then released an EP titled “The Sea & the Rhythm,” in 2003. Getting into the rut of creating music, Iron and Wine came into mainstream success with the second album, “Our Endless Numbered Days.” Of the twelve songs featured in the album, Naked as We Came, Each Coming Night, Fever Dream and Sunset Soon Forgotten became smash hits and instantly went on to top charts.
After the success of the second studio album, Iron and Wine released their third album in 2007, called “The Shepherd's Dog.” By this time, the band had already gathered a massive and loyal fan following and the album enjoyed success, both critically and commercially. Songs from “The Shepherd's Dog” made it onto the Rolling Stone's list of Best Songs and Top Albums. The following two releases, “Kiss Each Other Clean” and “Ghost on Ghost” have kept on the legacy of being super hit, both among the fans and critics.
Iron and Wine's popularity has increased exponentially over the past few years. From an unknown entity to one of today's most loved acts, it has earned its way to the top of the charts. Televisions shows and movies have featured Iron and Wine's discography heavily. The O.C., House M.D., Ugly Betty, 90210, Grey's Anatomy, Twilight, The Last Song, The L Word, Degrassi, Friday Night Lights and Garden State, have all used Iron and Wine songs for their soundtrack.
