Andrew Bird is an American musician, singer, song writer and the best feature of his name and fame is that he is a multi instrumentalist and expert at playing glockenspiel, mandolin, guitar, whistling and violin. He was born on 11th July, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois, United states and currently he lives in two places, Chicago and in a farm near the town Elizabeth in Illinois. Bird is in the music career since 1996 till present. Coming to his early life, Bird got his bachelor's degree in violin from Northwestern University in Illinois. He released his first solo album, Music of Hair, in 1996 after his graduation. In 1997, Andrew Bird released his first album which was named Thrilled, with his band, Andrew and the Bowl of Fire and not a long time afterwards, Bird released a second album named Oh! The Grandeur, in which he worked with some of the local musicians in Chicago. And then in 2001, third album of the band Andrew and the Bowl of Fire came out which was named The Swimming Hour but he did not gather much fame form his band and form there he pursued his career in solo and gained huge success. He released Weather Systems in 2003, the Mysterious Production of Eggs in 2005, And Armchair Apocrypha in 2007 and his latest release is the Noble Beast in 2009. He also has three live albums to his name, Fingerlings, Fingerlings 2 and Fingerlings 3, released in 2002, 2004 and 2006 respectively. He also has some EPs and singles and a long list of album appearances as well.
