Temple Owls Tickets

Temple Owls represent Temple University's athletic teams. The university is based in Philadelphia and owing to the school's initial days as a nighttime school, the teams are referred to as the Owls. Hence, the owl is the school's mascot and symbol since its establishment. Temple Owls play in the Atlantic 10 Conference apart from football, as for that they are affiliated with the Mid-American Conference. In total, the school has twenty-two varsity teams with Bill Bradshaw as the athletic department's director. Our website's is now providing Temple Owls tickets for some of their upcoming games!

The university was among the 1st institutions in America to promote and sponsor extra-curricular athletic games for the students. The basketball and football programs began in the year 1894 with Coach Charles M. Williams' direction. The football team was Big East Conference's member until the team's exclusion after 2004. They played a bit in the Mid-American Conference in the years 2005 & 2006, before they became an associated football-only participant and played a complete 8-game league program in 2007. In March this year, announcement was made for the football team to return to becoming a member of the Big East. By summer 2013, Temple would fully become an affiliate of the Big East.

The university's men's basketball club is the member of Big Five, representing the traditional rivalries amongst the Owls and La Salle, Penn, Villanova and Saint Joseph's. The school considers their rivalry with St. Joe's as the most intense one, particularly in basketball. Temple Owls have quite a successful basketball team. In the 1950s, the team appeared in the NCAAFinal Four twice, under the guidance of renowned Basketball Hall of Famer Harry Litwack as the Head Coach. John Chaney, another Hall of Famer Head Coach led the team to the NCAA championship seventeen times. During 1987-99, his team reached the NCAA championship with a #1 ranking in America. Then with Fran Dunphy as the new basketball coach, the Owls also earned the Atlantic-10 championship by defeating St. Joseph's University. They won their 2nd uninterrupted Atlantic-10 title against Duquesne in 2009.

Each year, the Owls' rugby team plays at the Collegiate Rugby Championship, that is considered the topmost college-rugby event in the United States. The tournament is played at the PPL Park, Philadelphia annually, where the Owls are considered one of the homegrown favorites with a huge fan following. The Rugby team has also remained one of the most prosperous one, winning the Liberty Cup and the Mayer's Cup numerous times.

Temple Owls' baseball team played in two of the College World Series. Coach James Skip Wilson led the team to more than nine hundred wins, which also included a trip to the Atlantic 10 tournament. Since the 2004 term, Skip Wilson Field in the suburbs of Philadelphia has been the home ground to the baseball team.
